Type Locality and Naming
Ministerio de Comercio e Industrias (1991) includes the name as the basal formation of the Aguadulce Gr and describes it as “alluvium, sand, carbonaceous shales, organic deposits with pyrite, deltaic type”. (APP-B3).

See “Aguadulce Gr”. Occurs in Aguadulce Plain, Coclé province.
The formation is not present on the 1996 map of the Instituto Geografico Nacional (IGN) "Tommy Guardia", suggesting that the term is now obsolete.
